I love my hometown so much. That's the place where I was born and grew up day by day. Quang Binh, my hometown are with the hot weather and dry westerly wind blowing in every summer afternoon, with summer sun blazing down on white sand dunes... and with the bamboo cross-arm putting on the slim shoulders of Quang Binh women. That is my hometown, the place where hides many simple beauty but it still has a passion for anybody to love.
Have you ever seen a film of Nguyen ThanhVan director? Its name is Doi Cat. If the answer is “YES”, you would never forget the area in this film, that is my hometown. So have you ever wondered what created the impression in you? there are a thousand of sand dunes streching to the horizon, sunbeam interleaving to form large spider nets, or mankind living their whole lives on deligently farming? If that is so. It seems too liltle to know about my country. It is just a small part. I'm sure that the rest of it that you’ve not known will be better.
Coming to beloved Quang Binh, you will have chance to enjoy a lot of natural beauty, the vestiges and landscapes which contribute to create an imposing and haughty position in the Viet Nam S-shaped. The Quang Binh inhabitants are gentle, friendly, hospitable, and always opening their arms wide to welcome tourists from everywhere, ect.). If the God gives Quang Binh the hot weather and the severer climate, the more friendly and hospitable the Quang Binh resident will become. That is the reason why all of travelers like to take a rest at this town so much, not for only to enjoy the privacy beauty of Quang land but also to get pleasure from the warmly heart of the central city. I'm so proud of being a Quang Binh resident.
Quang Binh has several tourist attraction sites that could be turned into tourism development.
Quang Binh treasures of variety of terrain ranging from lowland to forests, mountains to sea, ivers and islands. The geography,climate, habitat formation and social transformation process have all together brought about a diverse collection of natural and human values for the province.Right in Dong Hoi city, you can make choice from a great variety of sightseeing such as Dong Hoi Citadel,Quang Binh Quan, Dao Duy Tu Wall and so on.From this capital city, you are offered trips to the nearby World natural Heritage Phong Nha-Ke Bang Grottoes and legendary historical Ho Chi Minh Road, where there are many important sites along the trail during Vietnam War. And farther north to Vung Chua Đao Yen landscape where the Hoanh Son Range extends to the sea. The Western area of the province treasures some tourist attractions of Cha Lo Na Phau International Trade Centre,local historical relies and traditional festivals of Minh Hoa and Tuyen Hoa mountainous minorities. Phong Nha - Ke Bang .
The Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park was recognized to be one of the world natural heritages in 2003 by UNESCO.
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is located in a mountainous limestone of 200,000 hectare in Vietnam and covers another limestone of 200,000 hectare of Hin Namno in Laotian territory. The central zone of this national park is 85,754 hectares and 195,400 ha for the buffer zone. The park was created to protect one of the world's two largest karst regions with 300 caves and grottoes and also protects the ecosystem of limestone forest of the Annamite Range region in north central coast of Vietnam.
Phong Nha-Ke Bang area is reputed for its cave and grotto systems as it is composed of 300 caves and grottoes with a total length of about 70 km. , of which only 20 have been explored by Vietnamese and British scientists; 17 of these are in located in the Phong Nha area and three in the Ke Bang area.
About the landscapes at Phong Nha, it's hard to tell fully. If you notice all eyes and touch it by your hand, you can know enough about it thousand years ago, This is a place in that some fairy nymph live. From Dong Hoi 50km, we can see a lot of wonders in the moutain about 800-900m from the moutaintop, there's a lair that is created by all of the long river under the ground (about 13.969m) and limestone, this lair's long about 7729m and there are 14 small cave in it.
Coming by Phong Nha, we'll listen odd voices of wind through the chink of stone, we can observe stalactites that are hung upside down, it looks like the giant teeth. The name of Troc lair's renamed "Phong Nha", the name symbolize for teeth and wind.
Phong Nha is a beautiful cave that there is subterranean river and there are seven best things: the longest grotto; the highest and widest door to grotto; the widest and most beautiful stretches of sands and rocks; the most beautiful underground lakes; the widest and most beautiful dry grotto; the most grandiose and fanciful stalactites and stalagmites and the longest underground river.
Quang Binh province is the land of rich culture and famous people.There is an archaeological site of Bau Tro, Phu Luu ancient bronze drums in the time of Dong Son culture.There are also many historical relies such as Quang Binh Quan, Luy Thay, Rao Sen, Thanh Nha Ngo, parapet and outer walls of Trinh- Nguyen.
Some famous place in all the war of country are Cu Nam, Canh Duong, Cha Lo, Cong Troi, Xuan Son, Long Đai. In the national history, There were a lot of culture villages that have been formed and passed by tradition from one generation to another, such as: “Bat danh huong”: “Son- Ha- Canh - Tha- Van- Vo- Co - Kim". There were many talents in the other field, such as: Amry, Cultrue, society.... they are Duong Van An, Nguyen Huu Canh, Nguyen Ham Ninh, Hoang Ke Viem, Vo Nguyen Giap.....
Travelling my hometown, you can not only see the natural landscape but also eat some special food that you can't find out anywhere it such as: bánh lọc, nem lụi,Ngheo baby fish, paste of Lep fish..... You can't forget the flavor of special food here after tasting it.
Quang Binh territory is a splendid picture with forest, sea well-know landscapes such as Ngang Pass, Ly Hoa Pass, Nhat le Port, Natural heritage reserve of Phong Nha- Ke Bang.... .
