Essay 1: What should students prepared (prepare) for their future jobs?
There are more and more students graduating from colleges and universities nowadays. This means a surge in the demand for finding good jobs amongst those students. In order to apply successfully for their jobs, in my opinion, they ought to get prepared with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
First of all, it’s essential that students possess a good theoretical base of their occupation. This is considered the main factor on their way to achieve success in future. Imagine a new graduator who has little or no understanding about his profession. In all chances, he will have to face up to many difficulties in establishing his career. As a result, any students should brush up their professional theory when they are still at university or college. Although there is always a long distance between such knowledge and practical experiences, a strong theory foundation will assists graduator(assist graduators) a lot in their future career. Indeed, this makes many contributions to the developing of student’s skills in practice.
Second, despite the importance of good theory, students still needs(need) a wide range of practical abilities like communicating, lecturing, team-working, leading… These prove to be really useful in their future jobs. It’s because almost nearly all companies and corporations now only employ applicants that adequately meet above requisitions, not those with high academic level. Moreover, not only does(omitted) that skillfulness help us to pass our job interviews but it also makes our work progress become more quick and straightforward. In fact, an employee with many high-level qualifications will find it not easy to accomplish his task as perfectly as the one with a lot of practical experiences. Consequently, it’s always advised that students, instead of trying their best to learn by heart all stuffs of theories, should cultivate their professional and practical skills diligently. That’s regarded as an effective way to make all best preparations for their future career.
In conclusion, it’s undeniable that deciding the future career is a stepping stone of most students. So they should be very carefully prepared for that, especially on the theoretical side as well as the practical one.

Essay 2: Are women able to take part in politics?
As a sequence of the women’s freedom movement, their roles are becoming more and more crucial in every field of our society, especially those in politics. Many women have succeeded in this field but there are still many difficulties to take over such tasks.
In fact, female politicians have to confront lots of difficulties throughout their career. One of these comes from their own families. Because politics involves travelling many places and meeting many people, women will spend a great deal of time on their work. This means they have trouble in looking after their families.Consequently, in addition to accomplishing their tasks, female politicians also deal with hosehold(household) problems like preparing meals or taking the children to school,… Moreover, it’s unavoidable that women involved in politics must face a lot of social biases against them. As a result of feudal believes, people usually think that women should care for their husbands and children instead of joining in political activities. So deeply does this thought root in everyone’s mind that it seems to be impossible for women to participate in political field.
However, in my opinion, every women(woman) has all rights to do anything, much less taking political jobs. From the human down, women were considered the leader in families. However, their ranks gradually deteriorated as human beings’ survival depended much on hunting, which required the muscular strength of the males. Nowadays, such things have come to an end. The more developed our world becomes, the more jobs demand the brain power. Moreover, women are thought to be more diligent and conscious than men in life. That’s why women can take over political taks(tasks), which are often under men’s charge. Not only can they do the job but they are also able to replace their counterparts in this field. In other word(words), women are completely able to accomplish political tasks.
In conclusions(conclusion), although women have to overcome may(many) obstacles on their path to success, it’s undeniable that they are gradually enhancing their status in politics as well as lots of other fields in our society.

Essay 3: Is physical punishment to children wrong or right?
There is a wide range of methods of punishing children when they make mistakes, one of which is to exert violence on them. But in my opinion, this is a completely wrong way because corporal sentences will have bad influence on both physical and mental sides.
Firstly, children who are violently taught will certainly have to suffer from corporal hurt. Many children throughout the world have been beaten with rod, slapped in the face… at class or at home. However, most of adults(most adults) like teachers and parents don’t seem to pay any attention to injuries on children’s bodies brought about by such punishments. They only consider them “precious” lessons for mistakes that children commit. Indeed, the situation is much more serious. The consequence of regular sentences often last a long time and even result in lots of everlasting ones. These, of course, create a lot of difficulties for children in their studies and their jobs in future lives.
Secondly, in addition to physical injuries, the corporal punishment is also said to do great harm to the mental health of ill-treated children. We can easily imagine the fear of children when they are slapped and beaten aggressively. Factually, children’s external injuries may wear out gradually but internal ones will haunt them forever in future. Especially when the children are still young and immature, the negative effects of such violence are even greater ad last longer. Children will become less self-confident, sociable (less sociable) in all activities in their lives. Moreover, in some circumstances, children with childhood full of physical punishment may grow in abnormal ways. Their attitude will become more violent and may make them commit many crimes. That brings about various social problems which needs the intervention of every individual and organization.
To sum up, it’s high time actions be taken not only by government but also by every individual to deter any physical punishment to children, the future owners of our society. Frankly, I hope that children all over the world will have good upbringing without any bodily punishment.

The importance of learning English in our society
It’s usually said that English is a language bridge in our world. So learning English is becoming more necessary in our modern society because it helps us not only to communicate with everyone but also to establish our career in future.
The first importance of English is the capability of connecting people all over the world, irrespective of their races or nationalities. It’s considered that English is an international language, which is spoken in more countries than any other ones like French, Russian or German…( because you used ‘countries’ so you should use “France, Russia or Germany” or use a comma after “other ones”). As a result, English contributes the most to breaking the language barrier amongst different nations. This means that if we go to any English-speaking countries, we won’t find it difficult to communicate with the locals there. Through such abroad trips, we have a lot of chances to broaden our mind about the world outside. In other word, as well as helping connect us with others, English also widens our social knowledge, which explains why learning English is of such great importance in our life.
The other one is that English enables us to become successful in our career in future. Actually, as we know, because more and more countries set their diplomacy open towards one another, the connections between(among) people are becoming closer. Hence, the role of learning English is increasingly enhanced in our society. This makes English the first priority in employing staffs in most companies Today. Indeed, English is regarded as one of the most crucial requirements in nearly all jobs nowadays. Consequently, learning English well is very useful for us to find good occupations after graduating from colleges or universities. Moreover, the mastering of English also(omitted) helps us to accomplish our tasks in a straightforward way. Imagine a foreign delegation pay(pays) a visit to our office. Then it’s easy to entertain and please them if we have fundamental knowledge of English. In short, our good learning of English will make it possible for us to establish our own careers and achieve success in our occupations.
To sum up, together with the expansion (“of”) English-speaking communities, learning English is playing a more and more important part in our society, mainly thanks to its roles in our both daily communication and professional activities.
To Tam: Bravo Tam as you submitted such good essays!!!!!!! Yours are almost error-free and thoroughly analyzed. We are looking forward to receiving more from you :mozilla_kiss:

Full name: TRAN THI THANH NGA.

Topic : (4) Some people think that rich and famous women find it hard to be happy with their family life. Other argue that in the modern world, only power and money go with happiness for women. What is your opinion?

"She is a star but she cries, cries, cries with her lonely heart, thinking if there is nothing missing in my life, then why do these tears come out at night?" This is a sentence in the song named "Lucky" sang(sung) by Briney Spear(Britney Spears).Lucky (a girl) is very beautiful, famous and rich but is she really happy? Or she finds everything meaningless( Choppy sentence). The answer has already been very clear(was already clear) in the song. As a result, what can bring ryou al fun (bring you all fun) and happiness to women? Is it money, fame or power or just a peaceful life as many others? This topic has been controversial until now.
Nowadays, the women are playing such an important part in the society. Consequently, they become famous, rich and powerful. At first, they may feel extremely happy and comfortable because they have enough money to spend on whatever they want, but later they feel very harassed by external factors such as mass-media, paparazzi or even their fans. Their actions, their own privacy, careless behaviors, dressing or even the most delicate situations… are always analyzed and given over to publicity. In addition, the celebrities have to take care of their image constantly and try to avoid making mistakes. But sometimes they may cause "scandal" which can either make them more well-known or undermine their reputation. For example, but for the nude scenes, Paris Hilton and Hoang Thuy Linh won't be so famous as they are Today( are you sure???). Another victim of these similar scandals is Dan Le_ a famous actress and MC of Viet Nam.
Although she was judged to be innocent of the clip sex, her name was fainted in the fan's mind and it seems quite hard for her to make the heyday come back.
Hình ảnh
Moreover, a famous woman finds it difficult to search for a man who loves her sincerely. Because under some circumstances, it is the fame or power or money that keeps him stand beside her but he is likely to leave her alone and start looking for other target when she goes bankrupt.
Beside love, friendship is sometimes a problem with famous women. To have a lasting and true friendship is difficult but it does not mean impossible. For instance, Tang Thanh Ha and Kim Hien are two successful actresses of Viet Nam. They may be opponents at work but in daily life, they are close and reliable friends.

However, it is not rare (that) the friendship to take advantages of their partner to gain one own purposes. They become friends with people just because they want to develop thank(succeed thanks) to their partner's reputation and don't care about the pain they may cause to others (their partners)(inappropriate part of the sentence).
On the other hand, the problem that all women must face is time. Along with time, their ages(age) will(omitted) rise, their beauty decrease(decreases) and their fame become(becomes) dim(comma) then vanish( I don't imply all famous women in this situation but a few of them). As a result, they must restart their career at the beginning with bare hands(start their career from scratch???)The married women have to face the problem 'time for family'. They have to harmonize between career and family. Since they spend most of their time working, time remain(the time left) is too little for them to take care of their hearth(heart) carefully. Unfortunately, if their husbands can't share and sympathize with them, the indispensable result is divorce, broken marriage(comma) then pain for both wife, husband and children.
The last main reason why successful women are often unhappy or at least eaten up with desire and ambition is that they are successful only in toughing a 'crystal rose' and doing down their peers and anyone they consider their rivals(run-on sentence). To maintain this success they not only have to 'sell their souls' but have to work like hell to stay up their achievements.
Is there any million- or billion-airess you have ever heard of, whose biography you know even just a little could be described as 'happy' ? As for Mother Teresa ? Definitely not: her life was given over to publicity self-sacrifice… Or M.Monroe - the pearl of Hollywood - the star who was considered the most beautiful woman, she(omitted) joined the angels at the age of 37.
To conclude, have you ever wondered "What do stars remain for themselves after their shows, their success and smile?". I myself consider that the loneliness because they have no friends, no lover,….,nothing except for the money(choppy sentence). Therefore, money is only something that we take for granted in lives and it is unable to exchange real and complete happiness for human beings, especially for famous women. Accordingly, 'success creates happiness but not always' and women should 'appreciate other life gives them smile at every moment'.

LUCKY
Early morning she wakes up. Knock, Knock, Knock on the door
It's time for make-up perfect smile It's you they're waiting for
They go... "Isn't she lovely, this Hollywood girl?" And they say
Chorus:
She's so lucky, she's a star. But she cry, cry, cries with her lonely heart, thinkin .If there's nothing missing in my life
Then why do these tears come out at night?
Lost in an image, in a dream But there's no one there to wake her up
And the world is spinning, and she keeps on winning But tell me what happens when it stops? They go... "Isn't she lovely, this Hollywood girl?"
And they say
Chorus:
"Best actress, and the winner is....Lucky!"
"I'm Roger Johnson for Pop News standing outside the arena waiting for Lucky!" Oh, my god...here she comes!
"Isn't she lucky, this Hollywood girl?" She's is so lucky, but why does she cry?" If there is nothing missing in her life Why do tears come at night?
Chorus:

@Nga: You essay is interesting, and I really appreciate your knowledge. However, it seems to me that you were too "greedy" (ambitious) when writing this essay. The content was so much that you ran out of energy to check your writing carefully. I would like to recommend that you write some short essays and try to read and correct them many times. I bet every time you read your essay you have some ideas to make it better. With such kind of practice you will definitely improve your writing very fast. I have been writing a research paper, and I always keep in mind an advice from my adviser "try to make your writing simple".
Good luck with your writing.

The agriculture problem of my village

I was born and grown up in a small village. But it is very great to me. It's a village that I and my village are proud of it's heroic tradition. This affects very much to build my characters. ( We are proud of its heroic tradition, which helps to build up my personality). The printed on foot of Uncle Ho when Bac visited my village in 1957( what do you mean???). Uncle Ho granted for my village the plough which another local(other locals) didn't have. Especially, my village had honour to get specious prize(do you mean “precious prize”?). This is the first flag in the agriculture in building up socialism movement in the North. To continue this heroic tradition, the Party organization and my villager( the authorities and my villagers) are trying to build (make) my village richer and more beautiful.
The time went by, all people said that: "When you have a success(are successful), protecting is more difficult than gaining".Nowadays, my village become(becomes) poorer. This makes me very sad. The country men persists(countrymen persist) in their opinion. Many people go out of(quit) cultivation and leave(leave to) another place to find job(jobs). It's difficult for them to find a good job because they don't train well(aren’t qualified enough). They are easy to fall into social evils.
To myself, my parents are also a famer. I have ever cut grass and picked(grew) vegetables on this country side. I know that, my villagers are simple, hard working and they alway(always) fell(felt- many people mistake “fell” with “felt”) attached to their native land. They give up the village because they are failed(fail) in some harvest crops. They don't have money to pay expenditure. It's reason is lack of new technics and good agricultural engineers.( They have to try their best to make ends meet, which results from the lack of technology and good agricultural engineers) Therefore, when I write some statements, I hope my village'll( my village will) get interests, helpings(“help” as “helping” means portion of food at a meal) and investments of all people to recover and develope(develop)the agriculture. This is the meaning not only me but also my village(???).
Now I'm a student. I see, the writing contest of QBO is a good chance for myself to give some problem(problems)which I'm thinking.Thank you very much.

To Hoa: Generally speaking, you had a good idea when you thought of a popular problem in Vietnam nowadays. Nevertheless, you should notice some points as follows:
1. Your grammar and sentence structures, which make your writing hard to understand.
2. The ideas are not fully developed and the paragraphs are not clearly divided.
3. The use of vocabulary – if you are not sure about a word or its use, you should look it up in the dictionary.
4. Try to write in the simple way. When you mention a major issue, it is advised that the ideas are simplified so that readers or the laymen can understand.

Essay 4: The advantages and disadvantages of watching television

It’s a fact that television plays a crucial part in our modern multimedia world Today. However, as ‘every coin has two sides’, watching television still (omitted) has many drawbacks, parallel with various benefits it brings to our life.

First of all, one of the most important advantages of watching television is to broaden our mind about the world outside. Actually, there have been many programs produced and broadcast, the major (majority) of which are historical, biographical, scientific… ones. Such programs help us to get more understanding about different countries, cultures, nations or civilizations throughout the world. As a result, by watching television, we have good chances to know a lot about various remote places without stepping out of our door. Thanks to television, we will be able to cultivate and enhance our social knowledge, which is certainly very useful for us in our life. Moreover, watching television is claimed to be an effective method of education, especially for children. According to many educational researchers all over the world, television makes great contributions to the progress of children’s intellectual development. Because children are often interested in animated images and lively sound, it’s easier to make them pay more attention to simple lessons on TV. This helps them to become partly familiar with everything around them, which is a fundamental stage in children education.

However, in spite of its benefits, watching television is considered to remain disadvantageous in some aspects. Indeed, watching television too much is really a waste of time for anyone of us (omitted). As there are a lot of interesting programs on television like films, music… that we are easily attracted to them. So it’s likely that we will spend most of our time fixing to the screen instead of joining other activities such as studying or playing sports. Consequently, not only does watching TV make us waste our time but it also results in our inactiveness in the daily life. In addition, due to the wide ranges of its programs, there will be, of course, a great deal of violent or even sexual information on television. This means that television may have negative effects on the behaviour of anyone who watches it with no selection, especially young children. In fact, if children are greatly affected by such information on television, it’s potential that they will develop in an abnormal way and may become more violent and aggressive than they used to be. In other word (words), the watching of television should be restricted to avoid its bad influence on TV viewers.

In short, watching television, despite its disadvantages as above, is also important and even indispensable in our modern society mainly because of its educational effects towards each of us (omitted). In my opinion, it’s essential that there should be more strict censorship on the contents of programs broadcast on television to make television (it) more useful in our life.

Essay 5: Should all zoos be banned?

As all we know, zoos have been in close attachment with everyone, especially children all over the world for years. But there are a large number of people disapproving of their existence now. In my opinion, despite having many limitations, zoos still (you shoul not impose the meaning of Vietnamese words on the use of English words) play an irreplaceable part in our modern life Today.

First of all, most zoos in the world have some restrictions, one of which is their bad infrastructure condition. In fact, there are many zoos that have been built for many decades but haven’t received any repairs or maintenance. Moreover, it’s a fact that the zoo closures are becoming smaller and smaller, leading to the increasing shrinking of artificial habitats of animals in zoos. This certainly prevents animals from living in a comfortable condition and parts them with the open-space that they should be in. In other hand (on the other hand), many people consider that caging animals in zoos is a sheer cruelty. According to those people, animals that are captured in zoos are likely to experience many sufferings. So they require that all zoos should be banned from opening to protect the rights of animals in zoos.

However, it’s believed that zoos still hold an important role in human life. Firstly, zoos are regarded as a connection between people and nature in a busy world. Imagine how pleasant we will feel if we have a chance to go to the zoo after a tiring day, walk leisurely in the park and feed nice animals in the zoo. Then we are able to have a refresh and get ready for our work. Secondly, it’s undeniable that zoos contribute greatly to the progress of researching of zoologists (the research of many zoologists) in many countries. Thanks to the observations of animals in zoos, scientists have come up with lots of solutions to preserve species which are on the verge of extinction. This proves the key role of zoos in conservating our environment and in protecting the wild life from serious threats.

In conclusion, it’s high time something were done to maintain and improve the conditions of zoos throughout the world in order to decrease their limitations as well as enhancing their roles in our society nowadays.

Essay 6: The advantages and disadvantages of living in the countryside

It’s a fact that there are many people wishing to live the countryside life nowadays due to its various advantages. Nevertheless, besides the benefits of the rural life, living in the countryside is also said to cause us lots of inconvenience and trouble.

Actually, it’s wonderful to have a chance to lice (live) in the countryside because of the peaceful life and friendly people there. Firstly, living in the countryside really brings us a great peace of mind. As most villages are situated in remote areas and very far from the noisy cities or town (towns), we can easily escape from the polluted atmosphere there as well as the stresses of work and family. There seems to be no worry or pressure in the countryside but the picturesque landscape like a wavy rice field, a curvy along (omitted) path along the dike… Secondly, the countryside life is also attractive thanks to the friendliness of the locals there. In the countryside, we will find it very easy to communicate with any villagers from old to young. And when you have any trouble in your life, everybody in the countryside is always willing to help you out enthusiastically. These explain why more and more people are moving to the countryside or at least spending your holidays there.

However, despite having many advantages, the countryside life is said to have some shortcomings. The first of these is the under-development of the transportation system in the countryside. As compared to those in modern cities, the streets in rural areas cause much trouble for everyone there. Imagine the inconvenience for us to travel on small paths that are often filled with dust in dry seasons and muddy (mud) in rain ones. Furthermore, the telecommunication system in rural regions is unable to meet the requirement of speedy transferring information. Indeed, there are very few TV, telephones and computer (computers) in rural areas, which shows that communication methods in rural areas cannot catch up with those in metropolitan regions. As a result, living in the countryside makes it more difficult to keep abreast of the current affairs in the world. All of these have discouraged many people from settling in the countryside.

To sum up, living the countryside life, although it enables us to enjoy peaceful life amongst friendly people, seems to remain disadvantageous in many different aspects, especially in the fields of transportation and telecommunication.

To Tam: Your essays are very beautiful but you have met with some minor errors that make yours less effective:
1. Sometimes the use of English words and phrases are adversely influenced by the train of Vietnamese thoughts, which is meaningless in English.
2. You should not abuse such phrases as: it is undeniable that, it is said that, it is true that, it’s a fact that,...... in one composition. This may make yours nonsense in some cases and unnecessarily “formal”

Is war justifiable or unjustifiable?

There have been numerous fierce wars occurring throughout the human history(comma) which are usually regarded as being unjustifiable. But to my point of view, it’s the purposes and properties of wars that decide whether or not they are reasonable.

Firstly, when a war breaks out, the justifiability of the war is said to depend mainly on its aims. Most unreasonable wars are waged just for the sake of the minority of people without noticing the damage to others. Actually, let’s look back to many wars under feudal regimes thousands of years ago. Those wars, in which many people were forced to join the army, fought with others and died on battlefields, were to serve for the objectives of ambitious emperors to establish and expand their realms. Undeniably, they were never justifiable wars because they did great harm to a large number of people(comma) only to satisfy the power ambition of someone. Whereas, wars that stand by the majority of (for the sake of) human beings are always known as reasonable ones. Such struggles as those in Vietnam, Cuba, Algeria… were aimed to liberate oppressed nations and stick up for ( “defend/support”-though “stick up for” has the same meaning but in such a long sentence you should use simpler synonyms to make the sentence brief and clear) them from colonialists and imperialists. Indeed, it’s their gracious purposes and ideas that make them become immortal in everyone’s mind forever.

Secondly, we are able to justify a war according to their nature. Actually, unreasonable (“unjust” to avoid repetition) wars are often waged against the mankind and seriously threaten the global peace. As we all know, the two world wars in history that caused unprecedentedly great devastation and destruction to human life are definitely unjustifiable for any reasons. Consequently, any war like that is likely to receive a lot of disapproval from people all over the world because it make threats to and (omitted) violate (violates) the common peace which everyone longs for very much. On the other hand, the so-called justifiable war must take the duty of pacifying our world. In the history, when the Soviet Red Army took part in the Second World War, this really turned it from a war amongst imperial countries to an anti-fascism one. Thanks to this change, the Second World War is forever remembered as the reasonable warfare. As a result, the properties of any war are also able to make great contributions to its reasonability.

In conclusions, there are some factors that can justify a war, the two most important of which are its aims and properties. However, in my opinion, once a war breaks out, whether it is justifiable or not, it’s likely that human beings will have to be burdened with the huge damage it brings about.
